These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website epicrecovery.ca, our services, programs, and online learning platforms (including Teachable or other third-party providers) offered by EPIC Recovery (“we,” “us,” “our”). By accessing or using the Site, registering for our services, or purchasing or accessing online courses or materials, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Who We Are
EPIC Recovery is a private addiction counselling and recovery support organization based in London, Ontario, Canada. Our services include individual counselling, family and couples support, workshops, support groups, recovery maintenance, online programming, and professional training opportunities.
We combine evidence-based care with professional standards, informed by lived-experience leadership.
We are proud to be Canada’s first Recovery Maintenance Centre.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By using the Site, registering for or using our services (online or in person), or purchasing or accessing content (courses, workshops, materials), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you should not use the Site or our services.
3. Eligibility
You represent that you are of the age of majority in your jurisdiction (in Ontario, 18+) or that you have parental or guardian consent to use our services. If you are under 18, your parent or guardian must review and agree to these Terms on your behalf.
4. Use of the Site & Services
4.1 Account Registration
Certain services or courses may require you to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for safeguarding your login information and for all activity that occurs under your account.
4.2 Use Restrictions
You agree not to:
use the Site or services for unlawful purposes,
infringe the rights of others (intellectual property, privacy, etc.), or
interfere with the security, functionality, or integrity of the Site.
4.3 Third-Party Platforms
Some of our educational content is delivered via third-party platforms such as Teachable. Your use of those platforms is also governed by their own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for their policies or practices except as required by law.
5. Fees & Payment
Fees for services are listed on the Site or communicated directly.
Payment must be made in advance, unless otherwise agreed.
Prices are subject to change, but fees are fixed once payment is made.
6. Refunds & Cancellations
At EPIC Recovery, we encourage personal accountability as part of the recovery process. For this reason, all sales are final and non-refundable.
In exceptional circumstances, you may contact us at info@epicrecovery.ca to request a refund. Any refund provided will be at EPIC Recovery’s sole discretion and may be subject to an administrative fee.
If EPIC Recovery cancels a service, program, or course, full refunds will be issued to those who have prepaid.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site — including text, graphics, images, course materials, videos, and worksheets — is owned by EPIC Recovery or used under licence, unless otherwise noted.
You may use content for your own personal, non-commercial use only. Reproduction, distribution, or adaptation of content without our prior written consent is prohibited.
8. Feedback & Submissions
Feedback from clients in counselling or recovery services is confidential and will not be used publicly in any way.
Feedback submitted voluntarily in the context of a class, workshop, training, or course (such as testimonials, evaluations, or suggestions) may be used by EPIC Recovery for program development or promotional purposes, provided it does not contain personal health information or identifying details, unless explicit written consent is given.
You agree that any feedback you submit does not infringe on the rights of third parties.
