Being a parent or family member of someone navigating addiction can feel like walking on eggshell. It can be difficult to know when support may help or when it may unintentionally enable. Bridges & Boundaries is a 4-part workshop series that may provide practical skills, emotional tools, and a safe space to explore ways to strengthen communication and find balance in your family life.

Led by Dean Anderson, a lived-experience counsellor with over a decade of guiding families through the challenges of addiction, this series can help participants:

  • Learn ways to communicate effectively with your loved one so they may truly hear you

  • Understand the difference between enabling and supporting a family member

  • Navigate grief, regret for past choices, and the ups and downs of family recovery with clarity and hope

  • Learn to recognize patterns that may feel like codependency and discover strategies to foster healthier relationships

  • Explore strategies for self-care that may help you regain emotional balance

Each session builds on the last, giving participants time between workshops to try new approaches at home, reflect, and return with questions or insights. You’ll also receive worksheets and handouts that can continue to support your journey beyond the series.

Through open discussions, guided exercises, and practical strategies, you’ll leave with tools to support your loved one. You’ll also learn ways to prioritize your own mental and emotional health.

This workshop is for you if:

  • You have a loved one in recovery and want to understand how to help effectively.

  • You feel emotionally drained, uncertain, or “stuck” yourself.

  • You want to build healthier patterns in your relationship.

Recovery is a family journey. Growth happens on both sides. Join us to rediscover your balance, energy, and peace of mind.
