Yoga For Balanced Addiction Recovery

Recovery is about building a life worth living — nurturing your body, mind, and relationships. At EPIC Recovery, we are proud to introduce a new yoga class designed for individuals in recovery and their adult family members or supporters. This offering is rooted in our Recovery Maintenance Programming, helping participants strengthen resilience, reduce stress, and support ongoing healing.

Facilitated by the team of the world renowned yoga teacher, Paul Van Wijk.

Why Yoga Matters in Recovery

Yoga is more than physical exercise. It’s a holistic practice that supports:

  • Physical wellness: Gentle movement improves flexibility, strength, and overall health.

  • Emotional balance: Breathwork and mindful movement help regulate mood and reduce stress.

  • Social connection: Practicing alongside others in recovery and their adult family members fosters support and belonging.

  • Inner connection: Cultivate self-awareness, calm, and reflection — a foundation for long-term wellness.

Incorporating yoga into recovery routines is shown to enhance mental clarity, emotional resilience, and the ability to navigate challenging moments.

How This Class Supports Recovery Maintenance

Our yoga class is pillared by EPIC’s Recovery Maintenance Programming, meaning it’s specifically designed to complement long-term recovery strategies. Participants learn practical tools for:

  • Managing stress and triggers in daily life

  • Strengthening emotional regulation

  • Enhancing self-care routines

  • Supporting sustainable wellness for both individuals and families

This integrative approach ensures that yoga is not just an activity, but a tool for ongoing recovery.

No prior yoga experience is necessary — all abilities are welcome.

Experience Healing Together

Recovery is a journey that affects everyone involved, not just the individual in treatment. Our adult, family-inclusive yoga class helps participants reconnect with themselves, their loved ones, and a supportive community — all while building habits that sustain recovery and overall wellness.

Every Saturday at 8:30 AM at EPIC Recovery
