Cathy Casagrande | trauma-informed yoga instructor
Cathy has a life-long love affair with yoga that has grown over more than 35 years. She enjoys moving her body through many styles including Modo, Sivananda, Power, Yin, and Restorative yoga. In 2014, she began her teaching journey which led to the role of studio owner and director for nearly a decade, nurturing spaces where people could move, breathe, and feel welcome.
As a lululemon yoga ambassador, Cathy expanded her passion for bringing accessible yoga to the broader community. Her goal has always remained the same: to share yoga with all bodies, all ages, and all levels of experience, offering a place to reconnect with self, restore grounding, and feel belonging.
In recent years, Cathy has focused deeply on trauma-informed learning, emotional safety, and how the nervous system responds to stress and challenge. She designs classes with choice, gentleness, and empowerment woven throughout, helping each person listen to their body’s signals and move at a pace that feels supportive. Her hope is that every class feels both strengthening and nurturing, offering moments of joy, steadiness, and comfort in a world that often feels overwhelming.
Cathy looks forward to continuing to mentor and support others as she grows older and greyer with gratitude. She wants every person to know that yoga is for all of us, at every stage of life.
Join Cathy at EPIC Recovery every Saturday morning for yoga.
