Addiction Counsellor

Certified through the C.C.A.C. as an Addiction Counsellor and a graduate of the Fundamentals of Addiction Program at Fanshawe College, Stephanie brings both professional education and lived experience to the addiction and recovery field.

Stephanie specializes in addiction recovery and currently works within both recovery home and community support settings, including EPIC. Her work within the recovery community includes mentorship, peer support, and group facilitation, with a strong focus on helping individuals build stability and confidence in recovery.

Her professional background includes experience in withdrawal management as a peer support worker, where she supported individuals through early recovery and assisted them in accessing appropriate community resources and supports. In addition, Stephanie has more than four years of experience counselling clients within a recovery home setting, providing compassionate, client-centered care to individuals pursuing long-term recovery and personal growth.

Using a solution-focused counselling approach grounded in empathy, encouragement, and accountability, Stephanie is committed to helping individuals build confidence, resilience, and sustainable recovery. A strong emphasis is placed on fostering self-compassion, recognizing that many people struggling with addiction also experience shame, guilt, and self-judgment throughout their recovery journey.

Professional growth and development have been shaped through working alongside influential mentors and leaders within the recovery community. Current involvement includes hosting the Virtual EPIC Meeting on Thursday evenings and supporting Dean Anderson with the Recovery Weekend Program. Through both lived and professional experience, Stephanie remains dedicated to supporting individuals in recovery and contributing to the continued growth of the recovery community in London, Ontario.
